ISAIAH 6 OUTREACH MINISTRY

PROVIDING RESOURCES AND SERVICES TO MEET PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS

Isaiah 6 Outreach Ministry – Programs:

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

Grace and peace to you.

I am Brother Mike, and I serve as the Facilitator for Isaiah 6 Outreach Ministry.

If you are looking for a traditional Ministry with a complex hierarchy, you may find our approach a bit different. We are a Non-denominational Restorationist Christian fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ. That is a long title, but it describes a very simple heart: we believe the modern church has often become cluttered with man-made structures that get in the way of a direct relationship with Jesus. Our mission is to “restore” the simple, powerful model of the New Testament church.

Why “Brother Mike” and “Facilitator”?

You won’t find the title “Pastor” or “Reverend” here. While those are common in many denominations, we take the words of Jesus in Matthew 23:8-10 seriously: “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers… And do not call anyone on earth ‘father’… Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah.”

  • Brother Mike: This isn’t a religious title; it is a family relationship. I am not above you, and I am not a “local pope.” I am a 64-year-old retired forester, a husband of 43 years, and a fellow traveler on this road. I have no special “anointing” that you don’t have. We are all siblings under one Father.
  • Facilitator: My role is to serve the group, not to rule it. A facilitator makes it easier for the “One Teacher”—Christ—to speak to all of us through His Word and His Spirit. I am here to set the chairs, open the Book, and listen alongside you.

Our Anabaptist Heart

Our theology is rooted in the Anabaptist/Mennonite tradition. This means we focus on the Sermon on the Mount as our practical map for living. We believe that:

  1. Faith is Following: To believe in Jesus is to follow Him in everyday life—in how we treat the poor, how we forgive our enemies, and how we live in peace.
  2. The Believers’ Church: The church isn’t a building or an institution; it is a voluntary fellowship of equals.
  3. The Servant’s Heart: Like Jesus washing the disciples’ feet, our leadership is measured by how much we serve, not by how much authority we claim.

Our Model for Everyday Life

At Isaiah 6 Outreach Ministry, we focus on the “marginalized”—the ex-cons, the homeless, the unmarried moms, and the “unchurched” who have been hurt or ignored by institutional religion.

We don’t offer a lecture; we offer a Peer-Led Fellowship. We believe that every person, no matter their past, has a “seat at the table.” In our circle, there is no “stage” and there are no “pews.” There is only a group of brothers and sisters looking to Christ as our ultimate model of love, sacrifice, and truth.

Our name comes from Isaiah 6:8: “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” We aren’t being “sent” to be bosses; we are being sent to be neighbors.

If you are tired of the “man-made structures” and are looking for a closer walk with the only true Teacher, we invite you to walk with us.

Your Brother,

Mike
